Virgin Care, part of the Virgin Group, runs health and care services across England, making a real difference to people’s lives and supporting councils and the NHS to deliver high quality services for local people.
Virgin Care has invested millions of pounds in innovative technology, using their experience to deliver improvements and innovations to community and primary care services. The company were the first to deliver a truly secure mobile working system, freeing nurses from their desks to spend time with patients, and the first provider to ask people whether they’d recommend the service they received. The CQC, in an inspection of the company’s community services in 2017, said Inspectors saw that Virgin Care could “demonstrate through documentary evidence that following acquisition of services, they had managed to bring about a sustained, significant improvement to patient care.”
In Bath and North East Somerset, Virgin Care is proud to employ more than 1,300 dedicated health and care professionals who are working to deliver an ambitious five year programme of transformation in partnership with the local NHS and council. At the end of the plan, local people will see joined-up health and social care services, integrated care records will mean no one has to tell their story more than once and the county can be proud of having an NHS which focuses on helping you stay well, not just getting you well.
